We take all kinds of geospatial data such as satellites, and drones, and algorithmically derive insights from this data for many different markets.

C-CORE conducts R&D and provides research-based advisory services, delivering innovative engineering and technology solutions to national and international clients. Over the past 45 years, we have built a world-class team of over 80 dedicated professionals, with a reputation for excellence in Remote Sensing, Ice Engineering, and Geotechnical Engineering.

Our team’s main role is building a cloud-based geospatial solution to:

1) Manage large data sets (cataloging, curating, securing)
2) Provide data processing and automation workflows
3) Create customer data visualization interfaces

This developer will help the core team mature the above feature sets and help productize solutions for customer deployments.

Position may be located in St. John’s NL, Ottawa ON, or remote.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

The successful candidate will have exceptional analysis and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills (spoken and written) and the ability to work in a team environment. We are looking for candidates that are willing to learn and highly adaptable to quickly changing requirements.

We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience or knowledge in the following areas:

• Building cloud applications (AWS, GCP. other)
• Workflow automation
• Analytics (web, data)
• Identity and Access Management

Preference will be given to applicants who also have experience/knowledge in the following areas:

• Cloud-Native Geospatial
• Python/Jupyter Notebooks
• React
• AWS Cognito/IAM/OAuth
• Data workflow orchestration (e.g. Prefect, Airflow)
• Data Science
