Accurate, up-to-date, and high-resolution land cover maps are essential for decision-makers in several industrial sectors, as they support food security, land use planning, and resource management. Through leading-edge information extraction from satellite imagery, and developing advanced machine learning and deepening tools, C-CORE delivers actionable metrics and critical insights to national government agencies and private sectors in order to understand trends and changes in the land cover system. This has been achieved by designing a cloud computing platform capable of automated satellite data processing and scalability from local to national levels, thereby maximizing the information extracted.
C-CORE has developed contemporary and proprietary data analysis techniques, which change what scientists, planners, and local citizens can know about natural and anthropogenic land cover changes.
