There are milestones that solidify excellence and expertise, and if lucky, these achievements become recognized by highly credible institutions. On October 4, 2023, Stanford University and Elsevier released a list highlighting the world’s top 2% of all scientists based on two different ranking approaches. Dr. Masoud Mahdianpari, C-CORE’s Technical Lead in Remote Sensing, not only bypassed the 2% and landed in the Top 1% in all scientific disciplines but was also ranked among the top 1000 environmental scientists out of roughly 70,000 scientists.
