(St. John’s, NL) – C-CORE is pleased to announce Carla Russell’s appointment as the next Vice-President, Finance and Corporate Services. In this role, Carla will provide strategic vision and leadership for all financial and administrative operations in keeping with our organizational goals and values.
Carla is an experienced executive leader with significant business management experience that includes financial reporting, risk, treasury, contract negotiation, regulation, information technology, procurement, and financial planning. She is a graduate of Memorial University’s Faculty of Business Administration and holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation. Her most recent roles have been at Nalcor Energy in St. John’s, including Executive Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this role, she was the Chief Accounting Officer, with oversight of the company’s controllership activities, financial reporting, commercial issues, accounting, internal control, and corporate requirements. She is no stranger to working with Senior Leadership and Boards on the development and implementation of strategic goals and objectives in short- and long-term plans.
As a seasoned senior leader, with a track record of measurable success in managing finances, maintaining accountability, and critical decision-making, Carla will play an integral role in supporting C-CORE’s mission and long-term success.
