Position Overview

As an IT Technician, you will be the first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support a wide variety of devices, maintain systems, and contribute to projects that improve our corporate IT environment.

You will work closely with the IT Manager and Systems Administrator to deliver efficient, reliable, and secure IT services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide first-line technical support to staff via phone, email, chat, and in-person.

· Install, update, and configure operating systems and software applications.

· Set up and maintain computer hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.

· Troubleshoot software, hardware, and peripheral issues to minimize downtime.

· Deliver IT orientations and user training to ensure effective use of IT resources.

· Log, track, and resolve help desk tickets with clear communication and documentation.

· Document troubleshooting procedures and technical solutions to support knowledge sharing.

· Assist with IT-related meetings including audio-visual setup and troubleshooting.

· Update the asset management system to maintain accurate inventory records.

· Contribute technical input to ongoing departmental projects.

· Collaborate regularly with internal teams such as HR, Finance, and Operations to support their technology needs.

Desired Qualifications

· Degree or Diploma in a computer-related field.

· Minimum 2 years of IT support experience.

· Knowledge of:

  • Computer hardware and peripherals
  • Operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Remote desktop tools and system monitoring tools
  • Cybersecurity fundamentals including access controls and best practices
  • Networking experience (switching, routing, Wi-Fi diagnostics, network configuration)

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

· Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.

· Ability to explain technical information clearly and provide training to users.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

· Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.

· Demonstrated commitment to customer service and attentive listening.
